Qualifications for NYSC Foreign Graduate Trainees

To guarantee a smooth registration process, potential corps members must strictly adhere to the following:

1. One of the following is the website address:

2. In order to register, prospective Corps members should make sure they have Nigerian (GSM) phone numbers and working email accounts. They are encouraged to keep the email address and password secure since they will use it to check in to the NYSC portal later.

3. Prospective corps members with foreign training should confirm that their institutions are accredited. It is their duty to get confirmation from the Federal Ministry of Education if in doubt. During registration, the verification letter needs to be uploaded.

4. Graduates with foreign training must go to the NYSC portal, register, and upload the required paperwork:

  1. Original O-level certificate, such as WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, IGCE, GCSE, High School Diploma, or its equivalent, with five (5) credits earned in a maximum of two (2) sittings, including English and Mathematics. Note: Studying Arabic and Islamic-related subjects, such as Islamic law, Arabic studies, Islamic Religious Studies, etc., is required for the senior secondary Arabic and Islamic certificate.
  2. The original degree or HND certificate, or a comparable document. In lieu of a degree certificate, please be advised that letters of attestation or To Whom It May Concern are not acceptable.
  3. The original mark sheet, degree transcript, or HND certificate (for Indian universities).
  4. An international travel passport that displays the data page and departure date for the research.
  5. Data pages on international passports and visas indicate the dates of study departure and return to Nigeria. Note: During online registration, graduates with dual nationalities must upload the data pages of both foreign passports. They must also bring the two passports to the orientation camp so they may be evaluated.
  6. A residency permit (for ECOWAS nations) for the length of the studies.
  7. The Federal Ministry of Education’s evaluation letter.
  8. Graduates who completed “top-up” programs must submit their certificates of foundational courses, such as NIIT, APTECH, OND, INFORMATICS, etc.
  9. Original degree or HND certificates cannot be substituted by attestation letters or testimonials.
  10. In order to enroll in their courses, all working-class graduates must submit their original admissions letters and letters of approval from their respective companies.
  11. Current professional licenses must be uploaded by all graduates of medical school and other health-related programs, including nursing science, laboratory science, physiotherapy, pharmacy, etc. A license that has expired cannot be used for mobilization.

5. NEEDS AND METHODS FOR GETTING EXEMPTION AND EXCLUSION LETTER CERTIFICATIONS

When their certificate of exemption and letter of exclusion are ready for pickup, graduates who are exempt from service due to their age or whose mode of study was part-time and are excluded from service are expected to present the original credentials they uploaded for a physical evaluation at NYSC Headquarters Abuja. This is done after completing the online registration process outlined in item (4) and uploading the required documents.

6. PASSPORT LOSS INTERNATIONAL Foreign grads are encouraged to get and submit the following in case their international passport is lost:

1. A police complaint from the nation where the foreign passport was misplaced.

2. A sworn court document attesting to the loss of the foreign passport.

3. Proof of residence in the study nation

4. Upload the data page after obtaining a new international passport.

7. REMOVAL OF ACADEMIC CERTIFICATIONS For the loss of an O-level certificate, such as one from WASC, NECO, NABTEB, etc. Obtain a result confirmation from the testing organization, such as WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, and post it to the website.

8. FOR LOSS OF TRANSCRIPT AND DEGREE CERTIFICATE:

Graduates should get a certified true copy of their lost credential, a replacement certificate, or confirmation of their results from their graduating school.It is recommended that graduates whose courses or institutions are not included on the NYSC Portal obtain an evaluation letter from the Federal Ministry of Education and submit it to the NYSC for upload instead of selecting any other course or institution.

Original copies of each enrolled potential corps member’s credentials must be brought to the camp for in-person verification.
